Standardized Testing & Academic Assessment
Carondelet uses the NWEA Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) test for students in grades K-8, with testing in the fall and spring. MAP testing is just one of the assessments tools used at Carondelet to measure academic progress. The assessment measures individual student growth and proficiency over time, and helps educators differentiate instruction and evaluate programs, and structure curriculum.
In the fall of 2017, 96% our students scored at or above the national average on standardized testing.
In addition to standardized testing, Carondelet uses formative and summative assessments within the classroom to ensure we are meeting and/or exceeding academic standards and individualizing instruction based on each child's needs.
Other indicators of academic success include:
# of students in advanced math and reading
# of students enrolled in AP/Honors classes entering high school
# of National Merit Scholars

Our students are articulate, confident and caring leaders within their communities. We are proud of how prepared our students are for high school and beyond.
